How to Create a File Browser Module in Easy DropBox Integration

The File Browser module allows you to display an interactive Dropbox file explorer anywhere on your website. It gives you complete control over folder sources, filtering options, layout styles, user permissions, and search functionality, making it easy to manage and present your Dropbox content exactly the way you need.

Quick Start

• Go to Dropbox → ShortCode Builder from your WordPress dashboard.
• Find Add New ShortCode and click there.
• Under the builder options, select File Browser.
• In the Source section, choose the folders or files you want to show, then click.
• Adjust Filters, Advanced settings, Notifications, and Permissions as required.
• Click Save to generate the shortcode and add it anywhere on your site.

Step 1: ShortCode

Choose ShortCode → Select the File Browser module from the Type tab.

Step 2: Source

Select the specific Easy Dropbox content that will appear in the File Browser.

• Pick folders:  Click items to select them.
• Refresh: Available from the top toolbar.
• Sort & View: Sort by Name, Size, and Modified.

Step 3: Filter

Control which files and folders are visible in the Shortcode.

• Allowed Extensions: Display only specific file types such as PDF, JPG or zip. Enter comma (,) separated file extensions to allow, such as ‘jpg, png, gif’. Leave empty to show all extension files.
• Allow All: All files and folders will be accessible.
• Except: Selected items will be excluded, but when ‘Allow all’ is enabled, exceptions will not be displayed.
• Maximum File Numbers: Sets the limit on the number of files that can be displayed at once. This option is available in the Premium version only.

Step 4: Advanced

Module Container

• Width: Set the width of the File Browser module to control how wide it appears on the page.
• Height: Define the height of the module to adjust the visible browsing area.
