How To Use Dropbox Upload Field With Contact Form 7?

The Easy Dropbox Integration plugin now supports seamless integration with Contact Form 7 (CF7). This feature allows users to upload files directly to their Dropbox account through a CF7 form submission. You can define the target folder structure and customize the file-naming format, ensuring organized, secure file storage in your Dropbox account.

Step 1: Enable Contact Form 7 Modules

  • Go to Settings → Modules→ Contact Form 7 from the Easy DropBox Integration dashboard.
  • Once enabled, the Contact Form 7 Modules will be activated and ready to use.

Step 2: Add a Dropbox Upload Tag in CF7

Edit your Contact Form 7 form and add the “Dropbox Upload” tag. Then click on “Configure Uploader” to set up the upload settings. You can choose target folders and configure various features.

Step 3: Configure Module Settings

  • Filters
    • Allowed Extensions: Enter comma-separated file types (e.g., jpg, jpeg, png). Leave this field empty to allow all file types.
    • Allow All Files Except: Enable this option to allow all file types and exclude only specific extensions listed in the Except field.
    • Except: Enter file extensions that should be blocked when Allow All Files Except is enabled.
    • Max File Uploads: Define the maximum number of files a user can upload at once.
    • Max File Size (MB): Set the maximum file size allowed per upload (in megabytes).
    • Min File Size (MB): Specify the minimum file size required for uploads (in megabytes).
  • Advanced
    • Module Container (Width & Height): Set the custom size of the uploader area on your page.
    • Form Heading: Add a title above the upload form.
    • Form Description: Customize the instruction text (e.g., Drag and drop files or folders).
    • Enable Folder Upload: Allow users to upload entire folders instead of individual files.
    • File Upload Button Label: Customize the text of the file selection button (e.g., Select File(s)).
    • Folder Upload Button Label: Customize the folder selection button text (e.g., Select Folder).
    • Show Upload Confirmation: Enable a confirmation message after successful uploads.
    • Upload Confirmation Message: Customize the success message displayed after upload.
    • Upload Type: Define how files should be uploaded based on your configuration.
    • Upload Immediately: Enable automatic upload as soon as files are selected.
    • Enable Upload Button: Show a manual upload button if you prefer users to click before uploading.

Step 4: Add the Form Shortcode

Copy the form’s shortcode and paste it into any page, post, or widget where you want the form to appear.
