The first thing you should do is check to see if you have a version of Deno already installed. To do that:
- Open the Terminal by pressing Command+Space to open Spotlight Search and entering
Terminalthen pressing Enter.
deno --versionin the Terminal and press Enter
- If you do have Deno installed, it will output the version
- If you do not have Deno installed, it will output something like
-bash: node: command not found. Continue with these instructions to install it.
curl -fsSL https://deno.land/x/install/install.sh | sh Using Homebrew:
brew install deno
Then you need to add Environment Variables. To do that:
- Open Terminal
- Enter nano .bash_profile
- add below code
Don’t forget to change <your_username> to your username
Then press Ctrl + X then y and hit Enter! then run this command again
deno --version again to check!
